As you might know, at least once a year my parents insist I take an art class at the local art center. I picked Fashion Illustration because I had no idea what it would be like (and also because I'm terrible at clothes). The first class was really boring, just going over how to shade a sphere and cylinder and the like, but I had fun doodling the blank, pretty models we were to put clothes on. So I guess when I got home this somehow happened?? Kind of 1830s style of dress

haaaah i really hate drawing wrinkles and folds in clothes and it shows so much

I say bring back the Victorian Era clothes, but with no corsets and more freedom as to what you should wear.

This is really good. I can see you working as an illustrator someday :>

Damn straight! Though, I'm gonna be honest, I'd be all for corsets, too. I just plain dislike people judging you if you don't wear what's in style. If some people like pancake makeup and a Civil War dress, let the run to Wal-Mart in it... same if they like t-shirts and jeans. =P

Yup.

I'd be for corsets if it wasn't for the fact that back in those days, they were usually worn so tight that the owner's ribs were crushed.

Fashion has a history of being kind of insane. Foot-binding, giving yourself tapeworms, gigantic steel booty cages that could easily block doorways, etc. Hell, even today we have high heels and various other small things that can cause damage. XD No reason why we can't just wear corsets... looser.

It's a three day class but on the first day the teacher didn't teach us really anything beyond how to draw faces and shade bodies. :< i totally agree though. clothes what are u??
