Description

Warming up before working on game sprites, I decided to draw one of my favourite pokemon, combining a lot of traits seen in its official sprites. I expected it to be horrible, but the result isn't half-bad! Wish the feet weren't so awkward to draw, though.

While it's not so original to do a stand-alone portrait of a Pokemon in this manner, it is pretty hard to do something as good with it as *Ozkumeti has. This Tangela is very well-rendered, with all of the (normally challenging to sprite, but here masterfully made and shaded) tentacles in place and properly shaded. I mean, when it looks like a bowl of spaghetti, you know it's pretty close to the mark! While the feet do look a bit awkward, they're not really a major component of the sprite. I hope this isn't too much to ask, but I'd like to see more Pokemon done in this sort of style.
